I am an award winning strategic PR pro with 16 years business communication experience. I’ve worked in-house and with global agencies and offer big-agency, premium expertise at a competitive and value-rich pricing structure due to my low overheads.

I achieve business-relevant results by improving the quality of client communication and stakeholder relationships through:

  • articulating client stories, ideas and insights in a creative and compelling manner, then ‘telling and selling’ them to client stakeholders
  • positively differentiating clients from their competition
  • consistently contributing value and insights additional to what is commissioned or expected.

I have been described as a communication all-rounder. I like that. Working in one industry or one segment of PR sounds like a long day in hell to me. Also, working in different industry sectors and on different sorts of PR activities makes one a fuller, more educated, better professional, in my opinion.

It also leads to better results for clients, as experience in one sector enriches the approaches that can be taken in other sectors. ‘Silo-isation’ is of little long term benefit. Cross-fertilisation of ideas rules.

I specialise in formulating, then implementing, communication strategies that deliver tangible, measurable, business-relevant results. If it’s a strategy that doesn’t deliver results, apart from not being very strategic, then I am simply not interested in it.

My clients inevitably integrate my contributions into their own strategic and tactical approaches. In achieving this, I save you time, lessen the strain under which you operate and provide tangible return on investment.

My goal? To become my clients’ trusted business collaborator.

The strategies I design utilise approaches that best suit an organisation’s (and its stakeholders’) needs – corporate communication, marketing communication, issues & crisis management, CSR, media relations and more. I’m deeply experienced in all of them.

My writing skills were honed by working as a journalist for 12 years for publications across the media spectrum, from The Australian and The Age to Vogue and Rolling Stone. In fact, for fun and the brain (and soul) stimulation I still write about music now for hip street mag, The Drum Media.
